Engendering technology

My research has been increasingly traveling in the direction of women and technology, leading me to think more and more about the following questions:

‘What if we identified female embodiment and emergence as the cultural ‘norm’ (Battersby, 1998,23)?, How might this engendered and embodied form of consciousness be described?, What might this mean for practice in relation to technology?, Can women develop technology differently?’

These questions and their implications currently underpin my exploration of technology and embodiment at the boundaries of human experience and our increasingly ‘post-human’ culture.
